Prayer Conference on Saturday 27th March at Brockhurst Baptist Church

The Disciples could have asked Jesus to teach them many things, one of the things that they did ask is how to pray. We know the importance and benefits of prayer, but we don’t always know how to do it.

Saturday 27th March will be an opportunity to learn different ways of praying.

The day will run from 10am to 4pm with workshops with a practical element running through the day. There will be opportunities to practice what you have learnt through the day and also opportunities to have some space for yourself. We would encourage you to come for the whole day if you can but if not just come for the session / sessions. There is no set fee but donations of £5 plus welcomed.

Sessions will run as follows:

10.30 to 11.30 Contemplative Prayer - Stefan Smart of New Community Church, Southampton

12 to 1pm The Jesus Prayer - Sue Smart of New Community Church

2.30 to 3.30 Petitionary and Intercessory Prayer - Grenville Overton of Southern Counties Baptist Association

The next Family Forum will be on Thursday 1st April (Maundy Thursday). We will have an informal meal and communion together along with the usual church meeting. Further details to follow.

This bring'n'share lunch is a double celebration for my 18th birthday
and to let you know about my gap year plans. It will be a great time to
relax, spend time together, eat and to hear in detail about how I
intend to spend my gap year. All of you are welcome so please put the
